七律 - 怡保半马拉松

Last weekend, I was in Ipoh attempting my third half-marathon, as well as my first trip there, being purposeful and alone. Though it rained quite badly in the morning that wetted up every runner, yet finally, I managed to complete it. As usual, top prizes were swept away mostly by foreign runners especially Africans, then Thais and Viets too. Thank God for keeping me healthy still (sneezed a bit only) after running in the rain.
I have produced a Chinese classical poetry upon this experience and translated it into English myself for sharing with you. Attached with my result and the prizes won, i.e. a cert for sub-2hour-runner and a medal for top-200-runner.
My life can’t be only working, studying and seeking further degree, moreover, I must spend some time for my hobbies. My next “big project” may be a full-marathon (42.2km) in the coming November. As wishful to be a sub-4hour marathoner, I have to keep on training up to that capacity in advance. If you are a run-lover as well, then we can have more sharings in future.

散文 - 北马的北风
February 17th, 2008 by limyongching今早的天气令人感觉非常的清爽：朝阳的和煦，晨风的微寒，淡化了日光下酷热的覆盖，解除了空气中潮湿的包裹，使人少了慵懒，却了郁闷，也减低了烦躁的几率。我想这必定是我喜欢北风的原因。
每个岁末接着每个年初，都是北风的季节。这一个季候风啊，在南国常年如夏的天空，在属于她的季节里，有力却不傲慢地飞扬起来。她，是造物主赐给温度湿度皆高得叫人难受的赤道线上下一个美妙的恩物。
北风，是美丽而短暂的。她起风的时节，似乎比与之轮替的西南季候风来得短一些。然而她的这个轮值姐妹我觉得并不讨喜，西南风在大多数时段总是显得软弱无力，似游魂般模糊地徘徊，甚至你很难感受到她的存在。要吻上你的脸哪，对她来说可是羞涩极了。西南风的无力，吹不散煎熬你的热气、缠绕你的湿气，所以你不会因她而舒畅起来。
我爱北风，爱她的爽朗，爱她的善解人意，爱她的刚柔并济，也爱常伴随她的万里无云蓝蓝晴空和年末岁初佳节气氛。纵使不再像童年一样看着风筝翩翩起舞，随着玩伴戏耍奔跑，点燃爆竹捂住耳朵，还有兴奋忐忑地掀开红包盖头…… 那些时光已不能复返，但依旧不变的，是令人心旷神怡的北风，忠诚勤恳地年年逢季必到，欢乐潇洒地在天地间穿梭飞舞，化作热带雨林间的春风绵绵吹送……
